Our Story
Bay Area Faneurs is the successor association to Les Faneurs, which was founded in 1929 by a group of French immigrants in San Francisco.
Originally a mutual aid society, it is now a social club that helps the French-American community in San Francisco. The board of directors meet each month, the second Thursday at the Basque Cultural Center. |
In addition to donations made each year to other local associations, Bay Area Faneurs distributes scholarships to young people in the community who are pursuing a university education.
Several events are organized throughout the year, such as the annual banquet, the wine-trip, the members' dinner, the fishing trip and, the grand voyage. |
